Medicare and Insurance

We make it easy for patients to get the eye care they need without unnecessary stress or confusion over coverage.

Our team is happy to help you understand your insurance benefits and how those benefits apply to your visit or procedure.

Insurance

Financing and Payments

At St. Charles Eye Center, we help our patients understand what options they have when paying for their vision services.

Medicare? Insurance? Discounts? Pre-Tax?

Our counselors are here to answer any questions you may have regarding fees, financing, payments and insurance. Be sure to bring your insurance card/information when you come in for your appointment.

Medicare Coverage

We proudly accept Medicare and provide comprehensive medical eye care services covered under your Medicare benefits. Medicare typically covers visits and treatments related to medical eye conditions such as:

Routine vision exams for eyeglasses or contact lenses, however, are not covered by Medicare. If you have a Medicare Advantage (Part C) plan, your benefits may include additional coverage for routine vision care. Our staff can review your plan details to help you understand what’s included.

Insurance Plans We Accept

Plans we accept include:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • UnitedHealthcare
  • Aetna
  • Cigna
  • Humana
  • EyeMed

If your plan isn’t listed or you’re unsure about your coverage, call our office and our knowledgeable team can verify your benefits.
